Zong-Kun Chang is a doctoral student at the Institute of Social Research and Cultural Studies (SRCS), National Yangming Chiaotung University (Taiwan). He holds a Master’s degree from the Institute of Labour Research (ILR) at National Chengchi University (Taiwan). He has previously worked with Taiwan Labor History and Culture Society, and his writings have appeared in Routers: A Journal of Cultural Studies, Taiwan: A Radical Quarterly in Social Studies, and the Bulletin of the Taiwan Oral History Society.
His current research centers on the Retired Servicemen Engineering Agency (RSEA) in Taiwan, using transnational archival materials and oral history interviews to investigate labor regulations, technical cooperation, and the economic-geopolitical effects of Taiwan’s overseas infrastructure projects during the Cold War. His research interests include labor and mobility, Cold War history, economic history, infrastructure, and comparative studies between Taiwan and South Korea.
Besides historical research, he has also worked as a performance art critic in Taiwan, with a particular interest in historical representation and its politics in artistic practices. His reviews have appeared in Performing Arts Redefined (PAR) Magazine and Reviewing Performing Arts Taiwan.
